Peter Christiansen, PhD

Pete has led Scenic’s research and analysis of private-market deals for over 8 years. In this role, Pete has developed and implemented quantitative, model-driven investment processes for fund management, contributing to investments in companies such as CoreWeave, DataBricks, Canva, and Strava.

Prior to joining Scenic, Pete spent 17 years at BlackRock as a Director with a focus on equity portfolio management. His expertise encompasses idea generation, signal development, model management, portfolio construction, multifactor risk models, portfolio optimization, and performance analysis.

Pete holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University and lives on the Peninsula with his wife, where they raised their two young adult daughters. An avid cyclist, Pete favors cycling as his primary mode of commute.
