Barrett’s work with the early Facebook and Twitter teams inspired him to institutionalize the secondary market for private company stock, leading to the creation of Scenic.

Under his leadership, Scenic has facilitated billions of dollars in transactions for high-growth private companies.

Prior to Scenic, Barrett was a venture advisor at Maveron, the consumer-focused fund founded by Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz. Earlier, he was CEO of Juno, a digital media company focused on educational content for children, and worked in Private Investment Management at Lehman Brothers and Credit Suisse.
